No Youth Service group exists. Benchmarking activities are being handled through the Youth Service Professional Associations. OFSTED criteria for Youth Services gives a range of indicators and expectations of performance which are being used. These include those listed below.

The Youth Service Audit, an annual event, provides comparison of services.

There have been a number of initiatives through the National Youth Agency (NYA) in linking authorities into Benchmarking clubs. The NYA is beginning to take a lead in benchmarking. In addition, the South East PYO's network are looking at benchmarking.
